NFT Reviews #7: Surreal Serpentine

Hi, and welcome to issue 7 of NFT Matrix, where I review NFT Artists’ work. There is no presumption or judgement here, only exposure. The artist I am reviewing is the Surreal Serpentine from the UK. Futuristic and cinematic is how I would characterize their work. I look at a couple of the artist’s pieces from their various platforms/social media and provide my review. Hope you enjoy, I’m always open to feedback.

This video is surreal and psychedelic. The music visuals remind me of when the old Star Trek movies got super weird, in the best way. I think this piece could be forward looking — will we be exploring space and learning new things about our universe at a greater pace in the next 100 years? What will we learn about ourselves and our place?

If this artist doesn’t make an entire movie with this visual style, I think society is missing out. There is something similar to BladeRunner about the future it conjures — major urban areas with sentient machines walking around. Maybe human beings will merge with the machines over time to a point where humans and machines are indistinguishable. Of course in the future, there are…
