NFT Review #2: Dusty Kessler

Hi, and welcome to issue 2 of NFT Matrix, where I review NFT Artists’ work. There is no presumption or judgement here, only exposure. The second artist I am reviewing is Dusty Kessler, from St. Louis, Missouri (currently based in LA). Visceral and emotional is how I would describe his work. I look at a couple of his pieces from his various platforms/social media and provide my review. Hope you enjoy, I’m always open to feedback.

Piece: “Gabber”

To experience the full power of the piece, it’s necessary to view it on opensea. The subject of the photograph is Miguel, an R&B artist of “Sky Walker” fame. You can see the power and vitality of Miguel in the photograph. The effects added to the photo make it seem as if the artist is sharing or giving up pieces of himself. The black and white forces you to focus on the subject and their energy. Even without the digital effects, the image is powerful due to the kinetic nature of the subject.
